Hello don't know if I am in the right place but hey ho here we go. Husband moved back to Edinburgh with me July 24 last year, only four days in new house(army) when discovered he was having affair. Denied it was anything serious at first but continued to contact her and when questioned would go off on one and blame me etc. not very nice at all endng in saying he never loved me etc
Married for 16 years Lived together b4 that for nearly two years together 20 years. Got married in 1992 worked full time til moved to Colchester and since then worked on and off mainly part time but always working when I could. Bought my father's council house just before getting married and it has always had only my name on it (not my stbx) he is now on the endownment at my request. He would make sure there was always enough money paid into my account to cover small mortgage as I wasn't always in employment. I will be moving into my home very soon eta 10th March. Still in army house at present and he has maintained me as I have not worked since giving up my job in London. I have very little savings but hope to work soon. Would never have left London if only I had known. He was promoted to Captain in August and has a very good pension and salary around 45,000pa at present. What is my situation regarding finances? Is he entitled to half of my house? I have a very small mortgage less than 20k and he said if I don't touch his pension he would pay off my mortgate but using all the endowment as well (around 5k if lucky).
Anyone give me advice please, this has devastated me as there was never an indication that anything was wrong, usual falling out now and again but cos he would go out and not come back after drinking. He has always had a bit of a drinking prob except for the seven years he stopped and I don't blame him for that I love him unconditionally. Since I asked him to leave he can't even be civil to me and I have had to spend all my savings doing up my home as it was trashed by tenants, almost there now. Help please? Thanks.:woohoo:
