Hi All

Reading all the posts over the last 6 months, and contributing where I could, I feel that my situation is in the minority - amicable, no one else (as far as I know), 2 kids, life is better, financially not too bad - am I missing the plot?

Not unique and hopefully not that unusual, but I guess people who are sorting things out without too much grief/aggro aren't likely to be coming to this site for support.

thanks for your succinct view, but it doesn't make the hurt any less - hence this wonderful site and all who contribute

thanks

We are having a civil stance on our separation. The concern that both of us have is the intervention by solicitors - there are mixed assets that need untangling. I am at home with kids and stbx gets to see them when he wants. We live about 4 blocks apart - he in rented house with girlfriend and her teenager. My eldest gets on well with them. Kids still fine at school. I do not know how our family unit would have coped if I had to work full time. My heart goes out to you all when things are so tight both financially and with disharmony. I can only cope by refusing to see this new woman in stbx's life and by not having to turn up for work and interview people. There are times when I just curl up in my bed and sleep off the wakefulness from the night before. I will start to worry about things financially when that time comes - I have my head in the sand over this.... my priority now is to lose weight, get my physical fitness back and see that the kids get through national exams okay.FDG
