i have been married 19 years...two years ago i was injured working on cranes and have spent the last two years having different back surgeries...one week before this past Thanksgiving my wife quit coming home...
When i finally heard from hear she said she was worried she would have to take care of me the rest of my life and i was served with divorce papers...she blindsided me with this...she is taking everything, home etc...i am staying in a room at my moms home with my three dogs......i am tired of crying and having that sick feeling, and the lonely sickness. I have been with her for 19 years...when can i expect to start feeling better ?

Hi Wristpin.
There is no answer to that.
It is bad enough with what you have to cope with. Without being treated like this. You have obviousl;y found out what your stbx's caring side is really like, as in, run away.

It is going to be a difficult recovery and not helped by your surgery needs.

She is by the way not entitled to take everything. If you have no kids, its going to start at 50% depending on her situation, work etc.

Get some legal advice, especially due to your situation, you may even be due some maintenance from her, you never know, depends on the backgroundy bits.

hi, i am sorry that it is a painful time for you.
as already said no one can put a time limit on when you will start to feel better.
however one day you will wake and decide to move on with life.
if you can t cope with all the legal stuff right now then wait until you feel strong enough to .
good luck with this .
