Hello to all,

I joined this site a fair while ago when my stbx and I split up due to depression/and an affair.

Since then he's moved out, wanted to stay friends, wanted to work at it, got a new mortgage with me (for a new house - the other woman was our next door neighbour), moved back into the spare room, then back into my room and then finally has decided he wants a divorce.

He has been profoundly depressed since the other womans husband died (in a car crash just over two years ago - it took them a month before they started to get ...close...) and whilst he saw a counsellor for a while he has become very distant again in the last 3-4weeks.

I feel the same hurt all over again. I feel like I have wasted my time. I feel like a fool. I can't help but want back the old life we used to have pre-depression but it would seem that moment has passed now.

Very glum.

Other than that haven't got too much to complain about.

you should not feel like a fool, not for wanting to keep ur marriage together, or for wanting to have back what u and him had together.

you did the best u could, and that is what anyone can ask for!

chin up and hang in there
