Dear Startingagain09 ( I love that name!) Thank you for your reply. I really think my H is very confused, but that doesn't help me. I agree that people grow apart, I just wish I had had a clue that things were so bad from his perspective. I thought we had a good relaitionship-not brilliant, but good for 22 years! I jst want to get through the pain!. My kids are 19 and 21 so I don't have to have contact with him , but I miss him so much, that person that I talked to everyday. I know that if i contact him i will just hurt more, so i am really trying not to. Your situation sounds like it's been really difficult, I admire you for being so strong. I really want to get to a better place where perhaps I could be friends with him, but I thik that will be a long way off, I need to heal first. This is the end of my second week, I wish someone could tell me how long it takes, but I know that everyone is different.

Hi
It took me 6 months to start to feel strong again.........3 months of crying every day and then it got a bit easier. Everyone is different. I tried not to contact my stbx and then he accused me of not caring/fighting for him....so you can't win either way. Unfortunately although my husband denied anyone else being involved it turned out there was.
Have you tried/suggested counselling? It is very early days, my main advice would be to try and get on with your life, think what you want, don't wait for him to make all the decisions on what happens to your relationship.
keep posting, and hope things work out how you want them too x

Hi Nasus

Welcome to Wiki.

Healing is a long process. You are still at the beginning and this is a rollercoaster which you will have to ride. Just know that things will get better and you will find that you are strong person and that you can do it.

you cant rush the pain that you feel, because u need to go through it to get over it. but its good that you concentrate on yourself and your kids now...be kind to yourself and be patient.

take care
claudette

thsnk you, I know that healing is going to take a while, i think I am still at the stage of trying to accept that this has happened, but I have had a couple of good days, which gives me hope that I will eventually be on an even Keel again. Its good to be able to come on here and get support.
