Hi, I left my marital home Friday of last week - I got the 1st letter of solicitor for start of proceedings, has only been 5 days....obviously I made the right decision. I was in a loveless, sexless & affection less marriage.:silly:

That may not be the case, you left the marital home, as did my ex. I suggested relate and trying again etc which he refused. I was so scared, confused and had no idea what to expect that I went to see a solicitor, so that in all the confusion I felt I had some advice on what to expect. It wasn't that I didn't love him - it was the fact that I was so scared of what was going to happen next. In fact what happened next was worse than any imagined fear, a huge sum of money we didn't have withdrawn from the bank, and someone 20 yrs younger than himself, and children discarded.
No idea of your story, this may be completly out of context,
Daisygreen

It is likely he initiated it so fast as he was shocked, hurt, angry etc. it is awful when someone walks out on you and there are a lot of feelings of hurt and anger etc. going round in your head....he may feel that this is his way of saying "stuff you". I initiated the divorce when my stbx left for OW although it was not what I really wanted. Take care xx

Thanks for asking Mike, I was thinking the same... what is the question.

Paula, are you confused because that is not what you really wanted? Maybe he was thinking the same so when you left he just thought there was no need to wait.

What ever the case anyway its good you are here for the support when/if you need it...

Look after yourself

Best Wishes
