A slight deviation (no pun intended) from the "is watching porn cheating" thread:

Think of the most perverse arousing deepest darkest exciting sexual kink you've ever allowed yourself a fleeting moment to give in to, something that hits all your buttons, something you'd never ever talk about outside the bedroom (or car or elevator or...). Ok? Got something in mind?

There is a magazine for "that" out there somewhere, and every morning there's some poor clumsy loser of a person schlepping their way to the office thinking "G*dD**IT! I -HATE- this frickin job!")

lol

I'm too busy trying to keep one step ahead of STBX to be fantasing about "things" (sorry I'm also such a prude I can't even say it!)
But when I have an early night, one day soon, maybe I will try very hard to think of an extreme fetish. Then the next day I hope to print a magazine, tap out a website (your technie skills required!!), make some videos and we will earn top dollars from suckers who want to buy mechandise of said fetish. So that when we are quietly zzzzing in the Real world, we will be raking the spondulees!!
How about it RD???!!!!!

No, why would it be cheating? When I watch Johnny Depp or Daniel Craig on a DVD it ain't for the storyline - and don't even get me started on Russell Crowe in Gladiator  !

If I was actually home and he chose to watch porn rather than be with me then I would have to talk to him about his needs and priorities, and it would make me concerned about how he viewed our relationship but cheating? No.

It depends. If it is used in healthy measures, probably not too much harm done. If it becomes a habit someone is driven to use too often, particularly for those with an obsessive nature, it can get out of hand to the extent that it becomes more of a 'reality' than reality itself. They start living in the fantasy world of 'porn' instead of in the life of real women and real relationships. Once there becomes an inbalance between living in the real world and the world of porn that's when the problems start in earnest. Suddenly the porn isn't quite enough. It's become an addiction - more and stronger is needed to get the same thrill. So they up the anti (so to speak). The phone s ex starts. Then off to the local massage parlour. The strip club. The pe ep show. Then the ladies of the night. These all supplement the porn habit. It is a sad decline into a twilight world of lies and deceit, shame and guilt. Porn being so easily brought into the home via internet etc has alot to answer for. Cheating ? Depends what you mean by cheating. Once out of hand it can certainly cheat the people involved out of any real intimacy with each other. Trust and loyalty can be broken if it takes the downward path I have described. In summary, I believe if porn is used it should be used with great caution. Becoming addicted is more common than may initially be supposed.

doh ! this is in the jokey bit, sorry I'm new and I dont know where the serious bit of this thread is - and before anyone says it, no it isn't a joke ! Nige.

Actually this is a good point, it happened to me!

My ex was into shall I say 'policemen' at first I thought it was just that a 'fantasy' & yes he was OCD - it grew to such an extent he started talking to other men about the 'fantasy' seeking out specific websites & got to the point of nearly arranging a meeting with a likeminded soul.

Did I feel I was being 'cheated on' toooo bloody right I did!

He would spend hours at night on the computer to the point I would go to bed alone, then because I was so understanding about it he announced he didn't love me and blamed it all on me for him being gay!

There's just no justice in this world....:(
