It's not a joke, but it is humorous...

Is giving a wedding gift of divorce insurance something you'd do?!?

Very few things about divorce surprise me any more ! $1250 won't get you very far in a British Court ; but one or two thoughts did strike me.

For a start, your spouse can Petition against you and might do it before your divorce insurance kicks in.

Secondly, insurance against the potential legal costs of a divorce might just be an idea some people might consider ;

Thirdly, if you think your spouse might do the dirty on you, perhaps you shouldn't get married in the first place !

So if you pay it for ten years with the uplift premium it costs about $20,000 with a potential indemnity of $27,000 why bother?.

As Mike said if you think you need to insure against divorce you shouldn't be getting married full stop.

I don't think it would of worked for me Real Dad.Like the mortgage repayments,the savings and the car payments I think that would have been another thing that the harridan would of let me pay for the entirity of the marriage only to walk off with all the proceeds.;) ;) ;)
The best thing a married man can invest in is a George Foreman grill,they normally let you have that when you leave.It must be something to do washing the grooves they don't like.
And for a man it's like a little mini indoor bbq.
All the best
Pete xx
