Fiona - funny. Hadn''t even thought of Amazon.

Anyway, today I got the half price Revlon BB cream and will see how that goes. If it is very successful and I get any modelling/covergirl offers, you may have to do without me for a while wikis ....

My library is also great for magazines, dvds etc. I also find that there is so much stuff on line that I can access for free - recipes, house and garden info, blogs from around the world, I really don''t need to spend on the magazines any more, and I used to buy loads. And most of the mags have a website too.

I was poking around local charity shop and there was a coat all bundled up in a plastic bag. Coat was creased but could see it was good cut. Got it for £1. Found same coat on internet for £450. One cost of a clean later I have an amazine winter wool coat.

I''ve got together with friends and had a clothes swap lol. Get together the clothes we don''t wear/fit and have a girls clothes swap, that way we normally come away with ''new'' clothes that have cost nothing.

Sorry it''s not Revlon, it''s L''Oreal. I''ve just got it out the packet, slapped some on and am eyeing it dubiously. I got the BB and the CC (colour corrector) because I saw a u-tube where the make up artist said that corrector works better than concealer and I''m a sucker for that sort of marketing ! And it was half price after all - look how much I saved !

I will be happy to do a review WR once I have worn it a bit, eyed it up in all lights, worn it to work to see if it stays on etc. But I have nothing to compare it to as I have not had anything similar before. Still I can give my thoughts on these two.

Friday at last, a sleep in tomorrow ... yay.

Nige.

I buy most of my clothes in charity shops (except for underwear(!) and shoes), I can spend £20 or £30 pounds and come away with 4 or 5 mix and match outfits, all from well-known high street names like Wallis, Phase Eight or Monsoon; whereas £20 or £30 would buy me next to nothing in these shops. I''ve found some incredible bargains recently, like the brand-new Whistles silk jacket I bought for £2.25 - when I checked online at home, a similar jacket would have cost me over £400 new!

My 14 year old daughter who has a rather unique dress sense and loves rooting around charity shops (partly to stop me buying "old lady clothes") and finding unique items and adapting them to suit her own style.

People have talked about make-up/skin care products - I have sensitive skin and am allergic to most products, so only ever buy Number 7 make up - but only when it is on a special offer - 3 items for 2, or a free goodie bag for example, and I love the Aldi skin care range, it''s a few pounds at most and is brilliant :)
