Is an actuary report worth the 2k it’s going to cost? Having second thoughts..husband is currently retired from police, we were married his full service (30 yrs) and he is only 54.
Any advice appreciated in this total minefield of pension sharing and offsetting....

I dont know what sort of pension your husband has, it is very complicated subject. The actuarial figure from my ex`s pension was 3x the CETV figure. This may not be the case for you but I gather the bigger the pension the more important the actuary is.
This is only my experience and im not legally minded.
Hope its some help.

Thanks for response. Pension is a police 1987 pension. Currently he is retired drawing 24k pa. current age 53 and life expectancy is 85 so that is approx 768k. His CEB is 530k so a bit of a difference. I know it isn’t that simple but it does seem undervalued. Also aware that the AR may over value as well. Did your ex accept the value on the AR?
