Hi, after 41years I am about to start divorce proceedings. My husband retired from the police force in 2003 after 30 years of service. There are no other dependants.
I am retired on a very small personal pension and state pension. What can I reasonably expect to receive in this regard

After a long marriage, the start point for division of all assets is 50:50.

How it actually ends up would depend on a range of factors but ideally you would have equality of housing and income.
