I have received my financial forms in relation my my financial settlement order and my solicitor has ticked the following forms to be completed, which has unsettled me.

- Periodical Payments Order together with Other Financial Provision
- pension sharing Order
- Pension compensation Sharing Order

I have already agreed with my ex that I will be paying him a lump sum and that we will then have a Clean Break on all other areas. We have both signed a draft Consent Order agreeing to this.

Therefore does this now mean that by filling in this form, the court may decide that I have to share some of my pension??

Any clarification will be helpful.

Which form are you referring to?

In the application for divorce, there are boxes to tick re finances. Frequently they are all ticked but that us just to keep the door open for claims. It doesn't mean that's what will happen.

If you have an agreement based on legal advice that will be seen to be fair by a judge, then that should be fine. But consent can be withdrawn and you could end up going back to the drawing board so keeping your options open is probably sensible.
