My pension was already in payment before I met my wife.If all the pension was accumulated before marriage is it taken account of in a divorce settlement and is it relevant to be asked to produce a CETV?

You have to make a full financial disclosure.

You can then argue about how the pot is split and what assets should be ringfenced.

If my wife and I agree that I pay her a lump sum in lieu of a share in my pension, does a full CETV disclosure have to be made. The problem is that I have 3 pensions and it will cost me £2400+VAT to obtain the CETVs.

As far as I am aware, if you agree your settlement between you, and it looks fair/ reasonable to a judge, just get Consent Order drawn up, tick box that both have had legal advice and it should be fine.
You do have to submit a brief short what everything is worth form, but not a full financial disclosure.....that’s only for the difficult ones ;)
