There is a fairly standard format for joint instructions to a pension expert.

Did the judge make any specific orders as to what was to be included?

It would be usual to include calculations based on equality of income at 55, 60 and normal retirement age. State pension entitlement may also be considered.

If there are pensions from before the relationship, (cohabitation is counted so make sure the actuary is aware if this is relevant) further calculations may be made excluding these.

If there is the potential for offsetting pension against cash/equity the actuary can also calculate how much pension should be swapped for what amount of cash/equity.

How the pensions are actually divided is a matter for negotiation/argument in court. The actuary just provides the options,it is up to you to agree or persuade the judge to agree with your argument.
