Hello,
Finally we have managed to agree on the SJE for pensions actuarial valuation for STBx -Overseas UN defined benefit pension and my NHS pension which I have applied for another CETV as STBx wants another one that is less than 12 months.Just complicating it all.

Is there any benefit of including the single tier state pensions request? My STBx wont be eligible for this so I would rather exclude it.Any ideas?
Also can someone recommend an IFA-Independent financial advisor that is affordable? This issues regarding tax implications on pensions and adjustments are just complicated.

Thanks for all your help.
Kind Regards,
Phylis

Hi,
I'm not sure about benefit of including state pensions in this case as I think that may disadvantage you....

In our report, the expert gave pensions forecasts for each of us which included state pensions. I can see why you would want to exclude state pensions in this case - but I am sure your ex will want to have it included.

Financial advisers will charge - obviously you're paying for their expertise. I don't know if there is anything useful for your situation that you can find through the Pensions Advisory Service, worth a look? www.gov.uk/government/organisations/the-...ons-advisory-service
