Elle has, in her usual eloquent way, made my point but , whilst the words used have importance, of even greater importance is the covering of all the ground. In other words, is everything dealt with?

After all, it is supposed to take the place of a divorce action and if it leaves unturned stones then it fails in it's purpose.

So don't do it yourself and yes, Elle, before you say it, I have also seen the odd (and I mean rare) example of Solicitor's work which didn't pass that test!

I have said it before and mean it - most Solicitors I know care deeply about doing a good job for their clients. Even if they did not, they also care about what there fellow Solicitors say and we do tend to be critical of each other's work.

The alleged legal technicalities of drafting a SA are far reaching when one looks at the failures of those drafted by sols....yes it takes certain skills to draft an SA ...that many sols have failed in this venture speaks volumes!

Elle and a point is infamous ;)

Wording and covering all ground is imperative when drafting a SA. Important also is that it is the clients life. Whilst a good sol will protect the clients best interests, a better sol will include a clients reasonable requests for input into something that impacts on their life :woohoo:
