Hi,

Any help appreciated.

I am a lit in person. My ex has solicitors. He is lying to the solicitors about finances/children etc. They seem to have very little input and he continues to try and bully me via his solicitors.

Is this just to be expected?

Either his solicitors are not advising him properly or they are and he is not listening and doing just as he pleases.

(Never married, cohabited)

If you have never married why are solicitors involved as everything is normally handled through the CMS.

Finances, property & asset division maybe? (TOLATA)

The solicitors can only act on the information you ex gives them. If he is telling lies to them and they accept it as truth and act in his best interest.

What legal steps are being considered? If you are not married finances are dealt with in a different way.

Child support can be sorted via the CMS if you cannot agree a voluntary arrangement.

Property is divided according to whose name is on the deeds. It is property law that applies.

It is possible to use the Children Act to keep a roof over the heads of any minors until they reach 18.

Perhaps you could tell us a bit more about your situation.
