I used to think like that til I met my darling partner...and now I couldnt imagine not sharing the bed with him!
OK so I have the extra washing and ironing but It's quite lovely getting a kiss on the back of your neck while your doing the ironing!! ;)
He's not wealthy either...but this life I have now..although no spare money for anything..is what I was missing all those years with my ex who's biggest turn on was money and who shunned any physical contact so much that I once asked him if he was gay!!

washing, cooking, ironing, sharing remote, smelly feet, hairy nose, hairy ears, beer belly, falling asleep on the sofa.

When Im out and about I look at men about my age and they do absolutely nothing for me, but men in their 30s, well they are a different matter.

The problem in the men in their 30s will not be the slightest bit interested in a woman of 50!

So, looks like I will remain alone.

Seemed to have veered off the subject of my ex shunning responsibilities for his kids - but this is far more fun!!! I love getting up when I want (normally hours before my lazy teenagers!), going to bed when I want (again normally hours before my teenagers!), watching what I want on TV and eating what I want. Needed a man when I had a frog in my garden and a blocked drain but apart from that....!!

Thought I needed the services of a man to replace the inset lights in the hall. There are eight altogether and one by one they have gone, until only one left. Now Im only 5ft 2, but got the stepladders out today and after a long time of gingerly going up the ladder I have replaced one!!!!! Delirious with achievement!!!!

Have Bonnie Tyler loud on the CD player, one girl in town with friends, one girl at her boyfriends and I thinking chinese takeaway later the order of the day with maybe a rental DVD.

Doors all open, dogs going to and fro. No football, sport on tv, tv not on, no man expecting Sunday lunch, it really is the life, just could do with a bit of extra income and oh, yes the grouting around the bath needs replacing!

Value pasta and cheese for the week, but kids love it.

Man - cooking, washing, ironing, sharing, sex, in exchange for replacing lightbulbs and putting grouting around the bath. Nah!

Grouting is fun! Ive done lots of it, like icing a cake! Must admit I havent regrouted, only grouted new tiles, but it cant be that much harder can it? I have moved my sons room around today, nearly killed myself shifting heavy stuff, but Ive done it and not had to justify myself to anyone - apart from my son and as long as he still has a bed and a tv/ps2 then he really isnt bothered - but I wanted to do it so I did! The small things we achieve make us feel so much better about ourselves!
