Hi Lucie,

I'm sorry about your situation. I haven't been on here long either, but i have found it very helpful in terms of the advice and support you get from everyone. I have just past the four month mark since leaving my husband of 24 years and still am having bad days, not sleeping at all well at the moment. I can't wait for the day when i never give him a second thought and hope it's not too far in the future and i wish the same for you too!

Lucie,

I'm afraid I can't comment about the home without knowing rather more. You mention a girlfriend ; are they livjng together ?

It is unfortunately depressingly common for spouses to think that the other has money stashed away. You would be surprised at the number of divorcing spouses who use private detectives or accountants, and very often, the result is that there is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow after all. If it's any comfort, he has to prove you are hiding assets ; you don't have to prove you're not.

Mike
