Hi all,
First time on this, due to go into mediation on Friday, wife left me in May with no explanation and the 3 kids have continued to live with me with their Mother coming back to often for my liking but I don't want to deny her access.
I am up to my eyes in debt and can not afford any legal representation even though I earn decent money.
I am really apprehensive about Friday, can any one give me any advice?

Hi there...no advice I'm afraid as I am in the same position as you. I go for my mediation week after next so would be interested in your experience with any tips or pointers. Hope you get a more useful reply from someone.

Hi there

If you read this :

www.wikivorce.com/divorce/Divorce-Forum/...G-IN-THIS-FORUM.html

and post those details, someone should be able to give you some ideas of what you would be looking at, so you can at least go to mediation knowing what is reasonable.

Think we have all been in this dilema s my advice is as follows.
Sit down and breathe deeply. You are not alone so post away and you will get replies.
Secondly you may earn good money but if you are like everyone else it vanishes in smoke these days.
So list outgoings. EVERYTHING. Rates mortgage gas elect school meals clothes ....you get the picture !!!
As kids are with you something may depend on what she has incoming.
Dont act in haste. Worrying times but get prepared is the real answer. Dont be bullied. Sometimes we have power we dont see . And at least you have your kids. Take care Polar

I dont know your figures and maybe someone else will chip in with better advice.
Firstly as you have the kids I suspect the house is out of the equation for the time being. Secondly dont forget half the debts are hers as well. Thirdly dont panic. Things often have a way of sorting themselves. You are new to this and so read others posts. I'll PM you and you can give me your situation if you like. Take care Polar
