I totally understand it is not what you want to hear.... the law is without protection for co-habs, sadly, unless you have a declaration drawn... I would look into the conveyancer point though, as you ought to have been told to go take advice about protecting yourself. If you are told you have a case against him or her, you may have legal expense insurance via your home insurance.

Any thoughts welcome - I am thinking of looking into interest only mortgage until house sells and we split equity - this will not only help with crippling amounts of money I am struggling to pay each month but also seems fair in that equity percentage remains the same so no-one loses out. I feel at the moment that I am paying everything and equity is growing and ex will benefit from - house not getting much interest in current climate.
