Today.
I had to tell my ex misus that as I had been given the wonderful new year gift of a £10k wage cut this would effect the child maintenance by a whopping £150 per month in a downwards direction.
suggestions to keep it the same included
1.Get a second job to pay her.
2.Move out of my 2 bedroom flat and rent a room.Wouldn't matter about the kids not seeing me every other weekend.
3.If i didn't pay it she would no longer do any pick ups or drop offs as she couldn't afford the petrol.
4.To pay her out of the £90k divorce settlement she gave me.(Newsflash i earnt it all and she kept £300k.)After her affair!!!

And people find it offensive that I refer to it as the ex harridan!!!!;) ;) ;)

She loves me really!!!!  :P

Hi Haway,

Its a great word Harridan isn't it! I love it!

What did she say when you told her?

Given the crap news that your wages will drop so bloody much & thinks its great you are keeping a good sense of humour about it all.

I doubt your ex is.

Just asking. Isn't there a variation clause that will cover you for this type of financial problem allow you to alter the maintenance payemnt downwards?

I am grossly offended with the use of that vulgar word describing your poor ex missus Pete!

I would expect she will make it up on tax credits anyway, my ex is getting a whopping amount from them.

BTW, i had to tell my ex that i was being paid off and all i had to give her was 20 quid a month!

I think that it is very irrespnsible to deprive his ex of income. He should get on a plane to India and sell a kidney immediatelly.
I am surprised that the courts don't order all men to do this.
