Good idea for a thread Zara and have enjoyed reading all the posts.

I always think of David Guest talking of his maid, V*ginas Seamus, when this subject comes up.

And talking of names, I think Morgan Freeman is a nice name. The first is strong and ambigous and the second a reference to Americas social history.

He is on in a film on ch5 tonight called Freedomland. Which I shall be watching. Have read the book but not seen film before.

My Grandmother-

Fanny Breeze.
Thank god she got married to a Jones, and it wasn't my name given my job as a nurse in a clap clinic.

I once worked in an office where we had records of Pearl Button & Rose Bush which I think were rather sweet.

I had a friend, surname Lamb, who had two daughters. A great relief because his favourite boy's name was Sam and his wife's favourite boy's name was Sean!

In family history research I've found several Fannys, including Fanny Cowmeadow! and a chap called Napoleon Bonaparte Money!

I once had to call a customer called Sandy Beaver. She would have been best to leave it at Sandra!! Also had a boy at school called Andrew Pratt so certain teachers when calling the register would call out A Pratt. Always got a laugh though.....teachers, they can be so cruel!!
