I have just read this post from start to finish so as not to make an uninformed comment.

On the whole, members on this site are people that are going through or have recently been through their own divorces. People are hurting (as I am sure you are) and are looking for a place of solace; a place to escape to, a place of support and time out.

You commented that this post has had many hits; in all honesty many of the responses belong to you. People are looking for support and guidance through the trauma of divorce.

Whilst I appreciate you have issues, albeit serious issues with the legal teams that were involved in your case, Wiki is not the place to air these issues in the way that you have.

I have not seen any personal details of your case, other than your legal arguement. People on this forum and in the chatroom need to feel an affinity with someone in order to even try to sympathise with your pain.

You have said that it is not sympathy that you are seeking but recrimination of the legal establishment (my words not yours). This is not what this site is about. Yes, some members are less than satisfied with their legal representation and this is one reason that wiki has evolved the way it has. We are looking at Family Law as a whole, not only the professionals involved but mainly the outdated systems with which they are expected to work.

Personally, having seen this post as my first introduction to yourself, I would not feel any affinity towards you.

Whilst I accept the pain that you have and no doubt are still going through, I feel you could have gained support from this site to help you fight against the injustice that you feel. We cannot offer the kind of help that you are so obviously seeking.

Individual members would have offered you support and strength to continue the fight against injustice.

I see that Amanda has offered to discuss your case with you. Amanda would have been able to tell you where to take your complaint to in order to be heard. We as Jo Public cannot offer you that.

Like it has been said previously, I cannot personally see the point to this thread.

I feel I had to respond to this post and take the time to read it from start to finish as I saw you in the chatroom last night.

There has obviously been controversy surrounding this thread (it even got a mention on a response to my own blog).

I really hope that you manage to get what you are looking for. But like previously mentioned; maybe you need to know when the time is right to give up the fight and look to the future.

Will winning the fight change the past, will it make your future brighter, will it enhance your life?

From what I can gather, you have one child living with you (apologies if I have this wrong). Does all this not make you a bitter person?

Does the end, justify the means? What I mean is, will life have passed you by before your eyes?

It is not my intention to offend and have just said it how I see it after reading the entire post.

Feel free to PM me with your comments. I am here to offer support to those that want and need it.

Regards, Sarah

I'd say that solicitors should only be paid if they win the case. That would be a good motivator for good performance and good work.

Personally i think when you go to court you have both allready lost to a certain extent it`s more a case of damage limitation than winning.

More often than not the cases that end with the huge bills are those when one or both refuse to be reasonable and fair.

I agree there are solicitors who line thier pockets with gold while doing a poor job and not considering what is best for thier client.

So getting a murder sentence reduced to manslaughter would be a loss!!!

There is no "win" in family law.
