I am sorry to read your story. You are in a situation which you should not be in anymore.

My heart really goes out to you. I am overweight by quite a bit and yes i do know that it restricts me from doing alot of things. And yes I have low self esteem and I am very self consious about it. But you CANNOT allow it to rule your life like this.

Please feel free to pm me or email me if you want to talk more.

You deserve to lead a happy life with peace of mind and heart!

Do not give up on life!!!

Hi SVT

Sorry to read your sad story. Like you I was overweight and lost 3 stones in weight and received all the unkind remarks from both my husband and son - I pretended all was OK but it hurt like hell being called fatty. Once I lost the weight all the compliments came flooding in and you know what - my husband hated it - but believe me I felt on TOP of the world and loved every minute of all the attention I was receiving. So you start looking after yourself – and you watch the reaction you get especially from your husband.

Good luck you can do it to.

Hi SVT.
As many have said you need to put yourself first...

small steps ...

firstly you can survive and you can take responsibility -

your first step was coming on here !!

As to the weight if you want to lose weight you can (with help) but don't think you have to.

I divorced my x last year - he too was an emotional bully and my son copied him. My son now 15 admits that he treated me badly but it was a learned reaction. So your relationship with your children can change.

I am now in an excellent relationship - but my new man is significantly overweight and I fel for his personality not his looks - although I think he is drop dead gorgeous!

However he has lost 3 stone since January but only becaase in his own words "he now has a reason to hang around and not die early!!"

You might be overweight but large ladies are just as gorgeous as slim ones...

just sit in front of a mirror and smile at yourself ... see the difference?

Beauty comes from inside not outside...

Have a look around there are many beautiful larger women around ...

and you are one of them!
