Can I ask for your help please! I need some input for my new book - what makes you scream about the opposite sex. I can guess some of the answers, but to make this totally real - I know you lot will be able to help out even more! If you were prepared to take the time and explain why it made you scream it'd be even more useful!

I promise to post that chapter on this site as soon as I've written it and before it goes into print! Wikivorce members will be given extra special highlighted mention in return and if you'd like a copy of my latest interview on Talk 107 Radio - get in touch by pm and I'll send you the file for you to listen to.

Many thanks
Jackie

HI jackie

have spent a bit of time thinking about your question.

I believe that it is certain things/habits that indivduals do that annoys us, regardless of what sex they are. therefore I think it is unfair to say that men annoy me when they do A or B, as women may well do the same thing! We all have quirks and foibles, but they are what make us unique and human, and it is up to us to accept that others may have habits that we find annoying, but dont we all?!

What makes me scream is the flagrant evidented lack of attention to chronological, typographical and numerical detail of solicitors of both sexes to both parties employed in a divorce action and the damage and costs to the parties whilst the incompetents receive remuneration without recourse from their self regulators. Aa statement of evidented fact is interpretated as criticism by the sensitive legal practitioners of the self regulated legal profession and when it has destroyed your life.....screaming palls in the damage caused.

Lol, absolutely Ruby couldn't agree more we're all perfectly imperfect ;) I'm really keen to get under the skin of foibles and quirks to see if there is a gender link - you know the old sort - not picking up their socks, taking too long in the shower etc - I know these pale into insignificance once divorce has started - however they're also very often the last straw for the camels back.

Men that think women who stay at home and look after the children and house sit on their backsides all day and that the hoover works itself and the iron plugs itself in.

gonna have another one
why men claim they don't know how to use a washing machine yet can set up pc's, TV's ,DVD players .

I hear you Elle and am not intending to decry more painful times. I know that the divorce system in this country is antique, poorly handled, detrimental to all parties and it's the only time we encounter a life changing event when the law gets pulled in. It is undergoing change, but to turn such a leviathan round unfortunately takes time. There's also something about the parties entering into the ring which has to be taken into account as not every divorce ends up in total destruction of the lives around it.
