Well Skyblue64 as a lady in my early 50''s I appreciate your point of view. However I and most of my divorced/separated friends have been left by our husbands for younger woman. I''m not sure generalising helps, (& yes Im probably generalising too), maybe we should take each person on merit & if it''s not what we are after walk away.

violet61 you are of course right I was generalising and no doubt from your side of the fence the view is very different.

As my mate said to me last week,

Love many, trust few and paddle your own canoe

Very positive again:)
One thing that I have learnt,is that people''s perception of us is sometimes wrong, people thought I was strong and coping..inside I died for awhile:(
There were a few who saw through my attempts of humour,as they now tell me,my eyes also died for awhile..
So whilst people got it wrong about me,sometimes I must get it wrong about others, after all none of us are infallible.
My lesson came down to basics really..
I alone am responsible for how I treat others,or how others treat me.So treat people how you would like to be treated, and if for some reason that is not returned, those people don''t need to be in my life...
So whilst before I really did worry about what others thought of me,now I simply don''t...
I am me,accept me for my flaws or don''t...

Great blog:)
