sorry blame.. when you refer to the child do you actually mean your child?

Your divorce settlement has nothing to do with you providing for your child until that child leaves full time education. You divorced your partner... not your child...

moving to Spain does not perclude you from financial responsibility to your own child... your child deserves better than that...

sorry to be so blunt but your attitude comes across as quite shameful

Hope you are at least maintaining a relationship with your child.

As i said i am working in spain am in financial difficulties and have been reduced to a shameful father who has virtually no access or say in my supposed childs life. I think i need to consider my own life for a change and trying to get my life back on track to have my own life is that shameful? or does money not come into it?

There really are a lot of people living in their own little worlds aren't there? And in those worlds the only people that matter are themselves. The ME society.

The more I read the original post from Derek, the more I thought it had to be a wind-up to spark off a debate. But the really odd thing is that that posting actually received any support.

You have stated exactly how I feel... we are all on this site because of the pain of our situation and it is not fair that things are put on as posts as you say just to spark off a debate. I for one do not support the original posting.

I have to admit it did cross my mind about it being a debate post rather than an actual query particularly as the story is so very similar to another one on this forum but from the opposite angle.

If Derek is for real he would try to avoid court at all costs. My x and father of 4 tried to vary court ordered CM downwards and ended up having to continue paying for all 4 to go to uni.

In some ways I hope Derek is a wind up but he could be my x with his attitude!!!!
