It's first time here I felt what is racism of itself in England. Particularly when some members telling you on your face "come back to your own country and English law s wrong".
It's all because of author of this topic happened to be foreigner.

I wondered when someone was going to bring up the issue of race. Ephelia echoes my sentiments exactly.

I'd like to make the point that some of us have no qualifications whatsoever and yet still work. Also, it is not always possible to get a job in the area you may be qualified for and so you have to compromise. It's not easy but then for some life is not easy.

I read some of the posts on here and my heart goes out to them but I'm afraid that in this particular case, it doesn't. That doesn't mean I'm racist. Had a wonderful Polish cleaner last year who worked her socks off and did a better job than any English cleaner I've employed. She was studying at college and did cleaning to supplement her income and was happy to do so.

There is no money that your partner has a claim to that you are unable to get access to. Trust funds are treated in the same way as pensions as they are a benefit for later.

As you have no children your husbands solicitor will advise him to go for a Clean Break settlement, this means that he pays you off now. The reason for this is that if you have a share of anything like a pension for the future or a trust fund if you die the claim on the funds does not die with you but goes into your estate. In other words you husband could find himself paying money to a widdower from a potential second marriage.

I think your husband is trying it on a bit in asking for a quick decision. In any case what ever you agree to will have to be made legal or you could revisit him for further monies later. The first thing that solicitors do when obtaining a settlement is to ask both parties to confirm their financial situation. If he tells lies here the agreement can be torn up in the future and you can ask him for more cash, his solicitor is hardly likely to let him do this.

MY ADVICE IS SIMPLE, LOOK ON THE INTERNET FOR YOUR AREA AND GET AN APPOINTMENT WITH A SOLICITOR (MOST WILL DO THE FIRST ONE FREE) DO THIS FIURST THING ON MONDAY MORNING.

Good Luck

I personally am not trying to send anyone back to their own country and I don't think anyone else is either. They may be suggesting it for all the reasons in their posts which are perfectly legitimate.

You are unquestionably entitled to be here but I and others are also entitled to say that if you want to stay then take the very generous offer from your husband £105,000 lump sum, £8000 car and £7000 maintenance which, if it isn't enough, then get off your backside and find a job (whether qualified or not) to supplement it.

The point about my Polish cleaner was that she was too intelligent to be cleaning as far as I was concerned but she didn't expect to live off handouts from anyone else, didn't mind getting her hands dirty and was prepared to do an honest days work in a job that she was patently over qualified for.

Well said lady in blue , i cannot believe some people are just prepared to sit and moan without getting off their backsides to find a job whilst me and the thousands of others pay taxes to support people like that
