My stbx, after telling tall tales for most of our relationship, secretly running up huge debts, and conning me out of thousands of pounds, emailed following on his recipt of the divorce petition:

"I don't like lies..."

I showed it to my mother, and she couldn't help falling about laughing!

oh well.

Remember pleading with my ex at the door as he was going (at my request) and saying that please don't throw 20 great years away for someone you hardly know, "but she makes me happy" was his reply. Of course she was making him happy he didnt live with her!!!! lol
Oh and I don't love you, I havent loved you for 2 years, oh I havent loved you ever???? But I loved you when we went to Wales and everything was like it used to be???? (that was only 2 months earlier)??? Aw well the human mind and heart they are sure strange things.

A couple of weeks before the affair was exposed and my dad; brother and friend had all tried to prepare me for the worst...

"Why does everybody assume that I am a lying, cheating ba***rd?"

Hmmmmmmmmmmm...I am soooooo sorry they all misjudged you!

(Not funny really but I expect I will get to a point where it will make me laugh. Was blooming stupid though)

My ex after having told me he had shagged hundreds of girls throughout our 20 plus year relationship said upon me chucking him out "but I would never have left you for any of them" - oh great, I was supposed to be grateful!
